When is the best time to launch a major renovation? When you're six months pregnant, of course!
This blog is to keep track of the next three months of monumental change in the Woli-nutty household. New house, new baby, oh boy!
Of course, we have already hit a snag on day one of the blog, because in the midst of the chaos currently ruling our house, I can't seem to find the cord that would allow me to download the pictures I've begun to take. So the visual impact will have to wait for a later posting...
But here's the nutshell status update:
House - After an exhausting, last minute scramble of a weekend to clear out the garage and guest bedroom, demo began yesterday, roof was ripped off the garage. I also bought an over the range microwave/convection over and faucet thanks to the power of ebay. Yay! Today, for reasons I cannot fully explain, there was no additional demo, but there was the delivery of a staggering amount of wood and a dumpster. Granted, none of the roof detritus was actually put in the dumpster, but hopefully that will happen soon enough.
We received our kitchen design today - looks pretty good for a first pass! Now I'm just waiting for absentee Lou, in Florida, to call to discuss tweaks to the design...
Baby - Two days until 28 weeks! Good bye second trimester... I barely knew ya! Tiki is kicking up a storm and the belly has grown past comfortable sleeping mode. Started painting the mural in the nursery today - slow going, but excited to see progress!
OK, time to spend a little quality time with the puppies - they're not so thrilled with the renovation, so far!
